What Is It And What Does It Do?
Our scaffold ladder safety device is intended to remove the age old problem of ladders moving while they are being secured by the operative and subsequent users of the ladder.
Normal practice for scaffold erecting is to secure the ladder to the scaffold using rope or cable ties....Never a perfect solution! ropes come loose and surprise the ladder user which can lead to loss of balance and worse.
The Scaffymate ladder safety device is secured by an "overcentre Cam System" from ground level and can be further secured against unauthorised removal by use of a padlock or indeed 2 differently keyed padlocks as a "lockout system" ensuring no stranded personnel at the upper level. Our system of coloured indicators show clearly whether the Scaffymate ladder safety device is secured to the scaffold...Green for GO Red for NO.
